City Palace Udaipur


The City Palace Udaipur is one of the must visit destination in India. The Place is 244 meter in length and 30.4 meter in height. The palace is constructed using Marble and granite. The structure of the palace includes Medieval, Chinese, Rajasthani, European and Mughal styles of architecture.
The balconies, interior, towers and cupolas are decorated using colored glass, inlay-work, Wall paintings, Silver work, marble and mirror works. The other popular spots in Udaipur are Lake Palace, Jag Mandir, Monsoon Palace, Lake Pichola, Fateh Sagar Lake.

The City Palace showcases the Royal History of Rajasthan. To prevent attacks the Palace is built with various zigzag corridors. As soon as you enter through main Tripolia gate you will find a Peacock courtyard Mor chowk. The city Palace has 11 wonderful palaces built by different ruler but the palaces resemble each other. The Palace of Pearls (Moti Mahal), Suraj Gokhda, Dilkush Mahal, Sheesh Mahal, Shambu Niwas, Krishna vilas,Amar Vilas, Bhim Vilas, Bada Mahal,Mor Chowk, the Surya Chopar,the Fateprakash Palace and the Shiv Niwas Palace. The Fateprakash and Shiv Niwas Palace is converted in to Heritage Hotel.
