Health benefits of curd and buttermilk

Curd is an ancient wonder food. The curd or yoghurt is antibacterial. It is good for health since it has nutritive content similar to fresh milk, it has special value for therapeutic process.

The process of making curd includes conversion of milk into curd and predigest milk protein. The bacteria present in it can inhibit the growth of the hostile or illness causing bacteria.

The buttermilk also has same nutritive and curative properties such as curd. The buttermilk is prepared by churning curd and adding water to it to remove the fat in the form of butter.

The curd or buttermilk can fight against germs which give rise to infection and inflammation which can cause diarrhoea and dysentery. These germs cannot with stand in the presence of lactic acid present in curd and buttermilk.
